A promise

The Konshus Pledge

A promise about what happens to your memory — today, tomorrow, and after I'm gone.

I built Konshus because I needed it.

I went through something that made me understand, in a way I can't unfeel, that the parts of us worth keeping are fragile. Photos survive. Documents survive. The texture of how someone thought — what they noticed, what mattered to them, the small private things — almost never does. By the time you wish you had it, it's gone.

Konshus is the place I wish had existed. So I made it, for myself, and then for anyone else who wants it.

This is not a venture-funded startup racing for an exit.

I fund Konshus myself. It doesn't depend on your subscription to survive, and it doesn't depend on a next round. That gives me one freedom I won't waste: I can make every decision about your memory based on what's right for you, not what keeps the company alive next quarter.

What I promise you

1.What's in your Vault is yours.

Every memory, every artifact, every export — yours. In open formats (JSON, Markdown, audio). Downloadable any day, no questions, no friction. The export button is in your settings. Use it whenever you want, including right now to make sure it works.

2.I will never train on your memory.

Not for our models. Not for anyone else's. Not anonymized, not aggregated, not "in spirit." Your memory exists to serve you and only you.

3.I'm not selling Konshus.

I'm not building this to flip. Acquisition is not a strategy here.

If, somewhere in a future I can't see, an acquisition would genuinely be better for members — better infrastructure, longer life, deeper capability — I would only consider it if the acquirer commits in writing to every promise on this page, and every member is told first, in plain language, with a full export already in their inbox, and the freedom to leave with all their data and a refund of unused time. No silent terms changes. No quiet pivots. Your memory does not get inherited by a stranger.

4.Konshus is built to outlive me.

This is the part most companies can't say. I can.

My plan is to place Konshus into a trust whose sole purpose is to keep your Vault running and your memory safe — beyond my involvement, beyond my lifetime. The trust will be funded to operate independent of growth, independent of trends, independent of whether AI is fashionable in 2050. The details are being worked out with my attorney; I'll publish them here as they're finalized.

The intent is simple: Konshus should still be here when your grandchildren want to know who you were.

5.Your tier stays complete.

Every capability in your plan today is permanent. If we ever ship a new paid add-on, it will be net-new — a new modality, a new surface, a deeper export format — never a paywall around something that already works for you. I will not quietly carve features out of an existing tier and resell them.

6.If I'm ever wrong about any of this — you leave whole.

If something I promise here ever stops being true, every member gets a full export before any change takes effect, and a refund of unused time. You came in trusting me. You will not leave empty-handed.

A note on the signature

You'll notice this page isn't signed with my name.

I run other companies, and attaching my name publicly to Konshus right now would import a story it hasn't earned yet. I want Konshus judged on what it does for you, not on who built it. When the time is right, the name will appear here, and the change will be recorded in the changelog below.

Until then, my attorney holds a fully signed and named copy of this exact document, dated to match the version below. Every promise on this page is mine personally — whether or not you can see my name attached to it. The accountability is real either way.

How to hold me to this

My email is founder@konshus.ai. Not a support queue. Me. If anything on this page ever stops being true — or you just want to ask about it — write to me directly.

This page has a version number and a date. When it changes, the old version stays visible in the changelog below. You'll always be able to see what I said, when I said it, and what changed.
