Konshus Sovereign

Runs on your computer. Never uploaded.

Konshus Sovereign runs your AI and your Vault on your own computer. Ask it what you'd never type into a cloud chatbot. Don't trust us. Unplug us.

Don't trust us. Check.

Most privacy promises ask you to believe a company. Sovereign's are things you can verify yourself, in minutes.

Unplug it and ask

Turn off your Wi-Fi and ask it about your own life. It answers from your Vault and shows which entries it used — all from your computer alone.

See every connection

Sovereign only goes online to download its brain once, check for signed updates, or copy your Vault when you press it. Every attempt is listed in the app, with a switch that blocks them all.

Take it, or erase it

Export everything as plain text files any time. Or erase this computer's Vault, brain and keys in one click. Your own backups, like Time Machine, aren't touched — and an old copy there can't be opened without the deleted key.

Most local AI starts from zero. Yours starts with your memories.

Sovereign arrives with the Konshus Vault you've already built — your journals, chats, people and confirmed memories — so its first answer can already be about you. Under every answer, "Why I know this" shows exactly which entries it drew on.

The right brain for your computer, picked for you

Sovereign checks your computer and installs the strongest brain it can run comfortably — Light, Strong, Best, Frontier or Max. No settings to learn. Bigger brains your computer can't run are shown greyed out.

No metering

Ask as much as you like, as long as you like. It runs on your electricity, so there's no per-question bill.

Mac and Windows

The Mac app is signed and notarized by Apple. The Windows installer carries a Microsoft-issued signature. Updates are signed too.

One Konshus, two homes

Regular Konshus is easy and works everywhere. Sovereign keeps everything on your own computer. Same memory, different home — use either, or both. Laptop brains aren't as clever as the big cloud ones on general questions; they shine when the question is about your life.

What it protects — and what it doesn't

  • Protects: your conversations and Vault from ever reaching an AI company's servers, including ours. A copied or stolen Vault file stays locked.
  • Doesn't replace: your computer's own login and disk encryption, which protect someone sitting at your keyboard.
  • Doesn't touch: your own backups. If you back up your computer, those copies are yours to manage.

Technical details
What it runs on
A Mac or Windows app. The AI brain runs entirely on your machine using a local engine built from the open-source llama.cpp project (pinned release, compiled and signed together with the app — never downloaded from anywhere unexpected).
Encryption
The local Vault is stored encrypted with SQLCipher. Your 24-word Recovery Key is shown once and never stored by us — it is the only way back in.
Network behavior
Every outbound connection goes through the in-app Network guard, is listed by host and plain-language reason, and can be blocked entirely with one switch. No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting is sent anywhere.
Brains
Standard AI model files (GGUF format), downloaded once from a published catalog and verified against SHA-256 fingerprints before use. Switch brains anytime, or supply your own file — custom files are marked unverified.
Updates
Updates are signed and checked automatically; the app refuses any update whose signature doesn't verify.

Plain-English guides to running AI on your own computer: what works without internet, how to choose a brain that fits your machine, and how to check our privacy claims yourself instead of taking our word for it.

Your AI. Your memory. Your machine.

Sovereign is new and launching first to a small group. No metering — ask as much as you like. Coming next: talking out loud with no internet, reading your photos and screenshots, and watched folders.
