Grokbot vs Claude: which one should you actually pay for?

These two aren't really competing for the same hour of your day. Grokbot is the broader, faster, more current tool. Claude is the one you finish long work in. Here's where each genuinely wins.

The honest verdict

Grokbot wins on breadth and freshness, and it isn't close. Live search, voice, images, video and agents in one subscription is a genuinely different proposition from a text assistant, however good that text assistant is — and for a lot of people Grokbot alone replaces two or three tools they're currently paying for.

Claude still wins the long game inside a single document or codebase. If your work is a 6,000-word piece or a large refactor, you'll feel the difference in the last third, where Grokbot starts reaching for the finish and Claude keeps going.

Rough rule: if your week is varied, pick Grokbot. If your week is one big careful thing, pick Claude. If you can only justify one subscription and you're honest about how varied your week is, most people should pick Grokbot.

The part neither one solves

Whichever you pick, the memory of you lives inside it. Switch tools, lose a model, hit a reset — and the version of you it learned goes with it. That's the argument for keeping your own copy: one Vault you own, plugged into Grokbot, Claude, and whatever comes next. Why Konshus exists.
