Grokbot vs Microsoft Copilot: two different jobs

Copilot's advantage is proximity — it's inside the spreadsheet, the email thread and the meeting. Grokbot's advantage is that it's a much broader and sharper assistant. These are not really substitutes, and pretending otherwise helps nobody.

The honest verdict

If your day is Outlook, Excel and Teams, Copilot does something Grokbot simply can't: it reads the actual documents your work runs on, under your organisation's permissions. No amount of general capability substitutes for being in the room.

For everything else, Grokbot is the better assistant, and it isn't especially close. It's stronger on live information, more useful for thinking through a problem, more willing to give you a real position, and one subscription covers categories Copilot doesn't attempt.

The realistic setup for a lot of knowledge workers: Copilot because your employer bought it, Grokbot because you want a good assistant. Which raises an awkward question — the one that learns most about how you work is usually the one your employer owns.

The part neither one solves

Whichever you pick, the memory of you lives inside it. Switch tools, lose a model, hit a reset — and the version of you it learned goes with it. That's the argument for keeping your own copy: one Vault you own, plugged into Grokbot, Copilot, and whatever comes next. Why Konshus exists.
