Grokbot rewards a different style than the other assistants. It's faster, more current and more opinionated, and the habits that get the most out of it lean into that rather than fighting it. Here's what actually changes the output.
Before a research question, ask which sources it's pulling from right now. You'll learn quickly when it's reading live and when it's answering from training — and the answer changes how much you should trust it.
"Here's what I think and why — find the strongest case against it" gets far better output than "is X true?". Its confident register works for you when you point it at your own reasoning.
Live events are where it's furthest ahead. During a launch, a match, a market move or a public argument, it's the best mainstream assistant available.
